by jameswalk

….I woke before sunrise and headed out to photograph the elusive lake monster….

….the early morning light spilled into our house….

….the sunrise was delicious….

….as per usual Brenna had already been awake for hours, wondering why we were taking so long to get ready….

….self portrait of the day….

….it was still super early and cold so we warmed up with a few cups of coffee….

….it was definitely too early for beagles….

….Berni had the appropriate footwear for the day….

….Berni brought her point and shoot camera and snapped a few shots throughout the day….here’s Brenna getting frustrated with our leisurely morning….….Spirit, perpetually lounging….

….we started the day off with the breakfast of champions….bagel sandwiches from Collegetown Bagels….

….egg and avocado….yummy….

….Berni’s photo of myself and the border collies, at the beginning of our hike. If you look close you can see us on the left of the photo….

….Brenna and Scully were stoked and immediately commenced frolicking….

….when it comes to fetching sticks, Brenna always goes big….

….here’s Berni’s behind the scenes shot of my border collie photo shoot….

….here’s the picture I was making….

….it was a long hike and Spirit suggested we stop for a lunch break….

….luckily we were in a magical land where giant pretzels grow wild….I picked this one….

….border collies only have one speed….warp!….

….after a long hike we eventually reached our destination, Taughannock Falls, at 215ft it’s the tallest waterfall east of the rockies….

….that little black dot is Brenna running/swimming at full speed to get to the base of the falls, her appetite for adventure is insatiable….

….Berni’s photo of me trying to photograph the border collies….it was super windy and freezing cold and the spray from the falls made photography quite challenging….

….drying out….

….it was a super-fun day of hiking and Spirit was spent….

….we hit the town in search of some snacks….

….tofu and black bean burrito, score!….

….then it was time for some pumpkin lobotomies….

….watching The Addams Family and carving pumpkins….

….hooray for Halloween!….
