….I spent the first part of this week helping Francisco install my work for the show this weekend….(he actually did most of the work)….and Bernadette stopped by to snap these sneak preview images….the exhibition space is really unique and super-cool….come out on Saturday and see everything in person!!!!….
….when I went out to get the post today I found the greatest package ever waiting for me….it was sent by one of my best students of all time and one of the most talented up-and-coming artists of the 21st century, Kyle Zimmerman….here is a photo of a woodcut that Kyle created based on a photo of Scully when she was a baby….Kyle will have a piece in the show next weekend, come and check it out, you won’t be disappointed….
….crazy border collies = status quo….
….studio in complete shambles because I’m working until the very last minute in preparation for the show on the 29th = status quo….
….what does every art show need? ….that’s right, a really big oversized border collie portrait….this is quite possibly the most difficult painting I have ever attempted, primarily due to the fact that trying to paint Brenna is like trying to cover a Clash song, it will never come close to the real thing…..but for me that’s all the more reason to try….(the hardest part is getting her to sit still)….
